The spring wedding season has ground to a halt.

Before stay-at-home orders were issued across the U.S., the $2-billion wedding industry already had been tripped up by delays in bridal-wear production caused by factory shutdowns in China.

Now, with venues ordered to adhere to social-distancing guidelines, many weddings are being moved from the big April-June season to the fall and winter.

“Fall clients are now anxious if they’ll be in the clear,” said Alexandria Catherine, owner of a Philadelphia-based events planning company.  “My hope is that they will be. But it is an uncertain time.”
