Pornhub wants you to know it is doing what it can to help.

The sex-video site has pledged to donate 50,000 surgical masks to hospital workers and paramedics in New York City, in addition to providing $25,000 to the Sex Workers Outreach project to support those experiencing financial difficulties.

The company has also made premium content free for a month worldwide, to give people further release during these troubling times. And yes, coronavirus porn already exists.

“With nearly one billion people in lockdown across the world because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s important that we lend a hand and provide them with an enjoyable way to pass the time,” Pornhub Vice President Corey Price said in a press release.

The masks will be distributed to the unions representing city emergency medical service workers and firefighters and to Long Island’s Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital.

“In this time of global uncertainty, any company willing to step up and help protect those on the frontlines and their families with much needed supplies like surgical masks will allow our members to do their job safely and feel confident going home knowing their families are safe too,” said Michael Greco, vice president of FDNY EMS Local 2507, in a release.

Joe Calderone, a senior vice president at Mount Sinai South Nassau, agreed, in a statement from the hospital: “These masks are mission critical in the fight against the COVID pandemic.”

Promotion of Pornhub’s initiatives comes after the New York City Department of Health released a safe-sex guide for life under under quarantine. It advises New Yorkers that, in a world of social distancing, “you are your safest sex partner.”

You may not be able to be as sexually active with a partner during self-isolation. Premium content from Pornhub can be viewed as a lesson in distance learning for future encounters.

“Masturbation will not spread COVID-19,” the health department said in its guide, “especially if you wash your hands (and any sex toys) with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after sex.”

With Pornhub donating masks and free content, the company is supporting both a way for remote workers to get off and an effort to help first responders get by.

It says site traffic is up 11.6 percent since the world went into isolation.

“We stand by our performers and models,” Price said, “and we will continue working on other projects to assist the community during this challenging time.”
