Anyone riding public transit in New York City must wear a mask. The new rule, aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19, alleviates some—but not all—of the concerns New Yorkers have about using subways, buses and commuter railroads. Many remain fearful about using mass transit, wary of the risks to themselves and vulnerable loved ones.
